AeroWound BPC Wound Dressing No 14 Medium 12 x 12cm
The BPC wound dressing No 14 is the medium, most-used size of the first aid combination dressing: an absorbent pad with a gauze bandage attached, so a cut can be covered and held under pressure by one person in a single movement. The 12cm x 12cm pad suits most cuts to the hand, wrist, forearm, shin and foot, and its low-adherent face lifts away with less pulling when the dressing is changed.
It is sterile, sealed in a peel-open pouch and listed as the medium wound dressing in workplace first aid kits, so it is the like-for-like refill after use.
Sold singly with quantity pricing, so kits can be restocked one dressing at a time. Choose the No 15 (18 x 18cm) for larger wounds and the No 13 for fingers.
Features
- Medium 12 x 12cm pad: the right size for most cuts to hands, arms and lower legs.
- Attached gauze bandage: apply pressure and secure the dressing in one step.
- Highly absorbent: thick compress soaks up blood and exudate.
- Low-adherent contact layer: gentler on removal.
- Sterile, peel-open pouch: ethylene oxide sterilised and individually sealed.
- Latex-free and hypoallergenic: suitable for most casualties.
How to use
- Put on gloves. Open the pouch without touching the face of the sterile pad.
- Place the pad over the wound while holding the short end of the bandage.
- Wind the long end firmly over the pad and around the limb, then tie off in a knot over the pad.
- If blood soaks through, add a second dressing on top. Seek medical help for deep wounds or bleeding that will not stop.
Check circulation beyond the bandage and loosen it if fingers or toes become cold, numb or pale. Do not use if the pouch is opened or damaged. Seek medical advice for serious wounds. Always follow the directions for use.

FAQs
No 14 or No 15: which size do I need? Kits usually carry both. The No 14 (12 x 12cm) covers most cuts to hands, arms and shins; the No 15 (18 x 18cm) is for larger wounds and heavy bleeding.
What does BPC stand for? British Pharmaceutical Codex, which set the standard pattern for these pad-and-bandage dressings.
How do you apply a BPC wound dressing? Hold the short tail, place the pad on the wound, wind the long tail firmly over the pad and tie it off over the pad. Full steps are under How to use.
Can I use a dressing if the pouch is damaged? No. A torn or opened pouch means the pad may no longer be sterile, so replace it.
