AeroSupplies Waterproof Arm Cast Protector

The AeroSupplies arm cast protector is a reusable, slip-on waterproof cover that keeps a plaster cast, dressing, bandage, stitches or PICC line site dry while you shower or bathe. The soft silicone opening stretches over the hand, then closes snugly around the arm to form a watertight seal, with no tapes, straps or binders. The clear body lets you or a carer check that the whole cast or dressing is covered before turning on the water.

The Adult Short Arm size covers the hand, wrist and forearm up to and including the elbow, for below-elbow casts and dressings on the hand or forearm. The Adult Long Arm and Teenage Long Arm sizes cover the full arm from the hand to the upper arm, for above-elbow casts and PICC lines in the upper arm. How to use

1. Stretch the silicone opening with both hands.
2. Carefully slide the hand and the cast or bandaged area into the protector.
3. Pull the protector up until the cast or dressing is completely covered. Check the silicone is sealed flat against the skin and the film is straight, not folded.
4. After washing, dry the outside, stretch the opening and slide the protector off. Rinse, dry and store it for next time.

Avoid direct contact between wounds and the protector. Keep away from fire. Keep away from hard objects and fingernails that may break the silicone. Adult supervision is advised around children because of the risk of choking or suffocation. This product is not a substitute for professional attention from a healthcare practitioner. Which arm size do I need?
For a cast or dressing that stops below the elbow, choose Adult Short Arm. If it goes above the elbow, or you need to cover a PICC line in the upper arm, choose Adult Long Arm, or Teenage Long Arm for a smaller, younger arm. Check that the arm circumference where the seal sits falls within the range in the size chart.

Can I use it over a PICC line?
Yes. It is designed to go over treated areas such as plaster casts, stitches, bandages, dressings and PICC lines to keep them dry while washing. Follow your healthcare team’s advice for caring for your line.

Can I use it in the bath?
Yes, it is designed for showers and baths. Keep the sealed opening above the water where you can and check the seal before you start.

Is it reusable?
Yes. Rinse and dry it after each use and store it in a cool, dry place.
