FirstCare Emergency Trauma Bandage (Israeli Bandage), Green
The FirstCare emergency bandage, widely known as the Israeli bandage, combines a sterile wound pad, an elastic bandage and a pressure applicator in one dressing. You place the pad over the wound, wrap once, turn the bandage back through the pressure bar to focus pressure on the wound, then keep wrapping and lock it with the closure bar. There are no pins, clips or knots, and it can be applied one-handed to yourself. It is carried by first responders, security and remote workers, and in trauma and bleeding control kits.
Choose the 10 x 17cm (4 inch) for arms, legs and most workplace kits, the 15 x 18cm (6 inch) for thighs, larger wounds and the torso, and the 30 x 30cm multi-trauma dressing for large or abdominal wounds.
Features
- Integral pressure bar: redirects the wrap to press down on the pad, applying direct pressure over the wound.
- Sterile non-adherent pad: placed straight on the wound and releases more cleanly when it is removed at hospital.
- Elastic wrap with closure bar: secures without clips, pins, tape or knots, and holds pressure while the person is moved.
- Secondary dressing built in: the trailing wrap covers and secures the pad in one item.
- One-handed self-application: designed so a person can apply it to their own arm or leg.
- Vacuum-packed and compact: flat pack that fits trauma kits, vehicle kits and pouches.
How to use
- Call 000. Put on gloves if available.
- Place the sterile pad directly over the wound and wrap the elastic bandage once around the limb.
- Thread the bandage through the pressure bar and pull it back in the opposite direction to press down on the pad.
- Continue wrapping firmly over the pad, covering all of its edges.
- Secure the end with the closure bar, check circulation below the bandage, and monitor until help arrives.

Which size should I carry?
The 4 inch suits most limbs and personal kits; add the 6 inch for larger limbs and the torso.
