AeroSupplies Waterproof Leg Cast Protector

The AeroSupplies leg cast protector is a reusable, slip-on waterproof cover that keeps a plaster cast, dressing, bandage or stitches on the foot, ankle or leg dry while you shower or bathe. The soft silicone opening stretches over the foot, then closes snugly around the leg to form a watertight seal, with no tapes, straps or binders. The clear body lets you or a carer check that the whole cast or dressing is covered before washing.

The Adult Short Leg size covers the foot, ankle and lower leg to just below the knee, for below-knee casts and dressings. The Adult Long Leg and Teenage Long Leg sizes cover the whole leg from the foot to the upper thigh, for above-knee casts and dressings. How to use

1. Sit down somewhere stable and stretch the silicone opening with both hands.
2. Carefully slide the foot and the cast or bandaged area into the protector.
3. Pull the protector up until the cast or dressing is completely covered. Check the silicone is sealed flat against the skin and the film is straight, not folded.
4. After washing, dry the outside, stretch the opening and slide the protector off. Rinse, dry and store it for next time.

The outside of the protector can be slippery when wet. Use a shower chair or non-slip mat and do not walk on it unsupported.

Avoid direct contact between wounds and the protector. Keep away from fire. Keep away from hard objects and fingernails that may break the silicone. Adult supervision is advised around children because of the risk of choking or suffocation. This product is not a substitute for professional attention from a healthcare practitioner. Which leg size do I need?
For a cast or dressing on the foot, ankle or lower leg that stops below the knee, choose Adult Short Leg. If it goes above the knee, choose Adult Long Leg, or Teenage Long Leg for a smaller, younger leg. Check that the leg circumference where the seal sits falls within the range in the size chart.

Can I use it in the bath?
Yes, it is designed for showers and baths. Keep the sealed opening above the water where you can and check the seal before you start.

Can I walk in it?
No. It is a cover for washing, not footwear. Sit or use a shower chair while it is on, and take it off before walking.

Is it reusable?
Yes. Rinse and dry it after each use and store it in a cool, dry place.
