Outdoor Alarmed AED Cabinet, 40 x 35.5 x 18.5 cm
An AED can only help if people can see it and reach it quickly, day or night. This outdoor defibrillator cabinet keeps your AED on an outside wall where the whole site can find it, while protecting it from rain, dust and sun. The body is 1.5 mm aluminium, so it will not rust in coastal or humid areas and is light enough to mount on most walls.
Mount it at an entrance, a car park, a sports ground, a clubhouse or a building that is locked after hours, so the defibrillator is available when the building is not. When the door opens, the alarm sounds and the strobe on top flashes, telling people nearby that the AED has been taken and drawing attention to the emergency.
Features
- Aluminium body for outside walls: 1.5 mm aluminium with a waterproof design, so it will not rust like painted steel.
- Loud alarm and strobe on opening: an 85 to 120 dBA door alarm with a round strobe light, battery-powered, so no electrician or power point is needed.
- Low battery warning: the alarm chirps when its battery is running low, and the battery sits in its own bracket for quick replacement.
- UV-resistant clear window: a bevelled polycarbonate window keeps the AED and its status indicator visible without opening the cabinet.
- Key lock handle: a knob handle with key, for sites that want to control access.
- Interior holder: an aluminium holder inside keeps the AED upright and ready to lift out.
- AED marked on the sides: easy to spot from along a wall or walkway.
- Three-point wall mounting: three mounting holes with waterproof washers.
How to install
- Choose a shaded, well-lit outside wall near an entrance, in plain sight and close to where people gather.
- Mount the cabinet through the three mounting holes with the waterproof washers fitted, with the handle at a height most people can reach.
- Fit the alarm battery and test the alarm and strobe by opening the door.
- Place the AED in the holder with its status indicator facing the window, add the prep kit and close the door.
- Put up an AED sign above the cabinet and check the AED status and the alarm each month.
Check your AED’s storage temperature range before installing it outside, and shade the cabinet from direct afternoon sun. If you lock the cabinet, make sure the key or code is available to anyone who may need the AED.

FAQs
Can an AED be kept outside? Yes, in a weatherproof cabinet like this one, as long as the site stays within the AED’s storage temperature range. Keep the cabinet out of direct sunlight.

Will my AED fit? It suits all AED models of a similar size.
Should an outdoor AED cabinet be locked? Most public-access cabinets are left unlocked so anyone can get the AED in an emergency, and the alarm deters misuse.
