AeroWipe Alcohol-Free Antiseptic Wound Cleansing Wipes

Cleaning a graze is the first thing a first aider does and the part children dread most. AeroWipe alcohol-free wipes clean the skin around a wound without the sting, smell or fumes of an alcohol swab, using a mild aqueous solution of cetrimide and chlorhexidine on a strong, low-lint non-woven cloth. The wipe is much larger than a swab, so one wipe cleans a grazed knee or a dirty hand in a single pass.

Each wipe is sealed in its own sachet so it stays moist in the kit until needed. These are the cleansing wipes supplied in Aero workplace kits, so they are the direct refill.

Buy the pack of 10 for personal and vehicle kits, the box of 100 for first aid rooms, schools and workplaces, or the carton of 2000 for kit assemblers and high-volume sites.

Features

  • Alcohol-free: no sting on broken skin and no strong odour, which makes cleaning wounds on children easier.
  • Cetrimide and chlorhexidine: 1% cetrimide BP and 0.02% chlorhexidine BP in an aqueous solution.
  • Large wipe: about 19 x 10.5cm, so one wipe cleans a whole graze.
  • Strong, low-lint cloth: non-woven carrier does not shred or leave fibres behind.
  • Individually wrapped: each sachet keeps its wipe moist and clean, and is easy to count at kit checks.
  • Three pack sizes: pack of 10, box of 100 and carton of 2000.

How to use

  1. Wash or sanitise your hands and put on gloves.
  2. Tear open the sachet and remove the wipe.
  3. Wipe over the affected area, working from the wound outwards and using a clean part of the wipe for each pass.
  4. Pat the skin dry and apply a suitable dressing.

For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Non-sterile and single use. Do not use on people known to be sensitive to cetrimide or chlorhexidine. Keep out of reach of children. Seek medical advice for serious wounds. Always follow the directions for use.

FAQs

Are antiseptic wipes the same as alcohol wipes? No. Alcohol swabs are for preparing intact skin and sting on a graze. These alcohol-free wipes are for gently cleaning the skin around a wound.

Can I use these wipes on an open wound? They are for cleaning the area around a minor wound before a dressing goes on. Wipe away from the wound, and get medical advice for deep or serious wounds.

Are these wipes sterile? No. They are non-sterile, single-use cleansing wipes.

Do antiseptic wipes expire? Yes, check the date on the sachet at each kit inspection and replace any that have dried out or passed their date.

Which pack size should I buy? Pack of 10 for small kits and cars, box of 100 for workplaces and schools, carton of 2000 for kit builders and busy sites.
