AeroTape Microporous Paper Tape 2.5cm x 5m
Microporous paper tape is the gentle everyday medical tape for holding a dressing, gauze pad or eye pad in place. The non-woven backing is microporous, so air passes through and skin stays comfortable under the tape, and the acrylate adhesive holds securely yet peels away without pulling at fragile or sensitive skin. That is why paper tape is the one used on children, older people and the face, and it is the same type of tape many people know by the brand name Micropore.
The 2.5cm width is the most versatile size for kits and first aid rooms: wide enough to anchor a dressing on an arm or leg, narrow enough for fingers and faces. Each 5m roll is individually wrapped so it stays clean in the kit.
Sold as a single roll with quantity pricing for workplaces, clinics and kit assemblers.

- Breathable: microporous non-woven backing lets air through so skin stays comfortable.
- Tears by hand: no scissors needed when you are holding a dressing in place.
- Conformable: thin backing sits flat over knuckles, joints and facial contours.
- Individually wrapped: each roll is sealed until used.
- Long shelf life: 36 months from manufacture.
How to use
- Make sure the skin is clean and dry; tape will not hold on oily or wet skin.
- Tear off a length and lay it across the dressing without stretching the tape.
- Press it down from the centre outwards.
- To remove, peel back slowly, low and parallel to the skin, supporting the skin with your other hand.
Do not wrap tape all the way around a finger or limb, as swelling can restrict circulation. Remove if the skin becomes red or irritated. Always follow the directions for use.

FAQs
Is microporous paper tape the same as Micropore? Micropore is a 3M brand name. This is the same type of product: a breathable, hypoallergenic paper tape for holding dressings.
Can paper tape get wet? It is not waterproof. It copes with light moisture but will lift if soaked; use a waterproof or transparent film tape for wet conditions.
Can I put paper tape directly on a wound? No. Put a dressing or gauze over the wound and use the tape to hold it in place.
Does paper tape breathe? Yes. The microporous backing lets air and moisture vapour through, which keeps skin more comfortable during wear.
What width should I choose? 2.5cm suits most dressings. Choose 1.25cm for fingers and faces and 5cm for large dressings.
