AeroGlove Nitrile Examination Gloves, Large – Pair of 2 (Blue)

A pair of nitrile gloves sealed in its own flat pack is the glove refill that belongs in every first aid kit. AeroGlove nitrile examination gloves give a first aider a tough barrier against blood and body fluids, and because they contain no natural rubber latex, they suit the growing number of people with latex sensitivity. The powder-free finish leaves nothing behind on hands, dressings or the wound, and the blue colour makes a split or tear obvious at a glance so the glove gets swapped before it lets you down.

This is the same 2-glove pack Aero Healthcare supplies inside its workplace, vehicle and sports first aid kits, so it is the like-for-like replacement after a kit has been used or audited.

Buy single packs to top up a home, car or sports-bag kit, or order in lots of 100 for workplace kit audits, kit assembly and resellers, where bulk pricing applies. For a first aid room or clinic that goes through gloves every day, the AeroGlove box of 100 in sizes small to extra large is the better buy.

Features

  • Latex-free nitrile: no natural rubber latex, so the gloves are suitable for first aiders and casualties with latex allergy and for latex-free workplaces.
  • Powder-free: no powder residue to irritate skin, contaminate a wound or spoil an adhesive dressing.
  • Textured grip: a textured outer surface keeps hold of dressings, tape and instruments in wet or dry conditions.
  • Ambidextrous, anatomical shape: either glove fits either hand, so there is no fumbling for a left or right in an emergency.
  • Blue colour: tears and pinholes show up clearly against the skin so a damaged glove is replaced straight away.
  • Sealed 2-pack: keeps the pair clean inside the kit and makes a used pack obvious at kit checks.
  • Kit-sized: flat 148 x 95 mm pack fits kit pockets, vehicle kits, pouches and modular kit trays.

How to use

  1. Check the pack is sealed, open it and put on both gloves before touching a casualty, a wound or body fluids.
  2. Look the gloves over for tears or pinholes and change them if damaged.
  3. To remove, pinch the outside of one glove at the wrist and peel it off, holding it in the gloved hand. Slide a bare finger under the cuff of the second glove and peel it off over the first so both end up inside-out.
  4. Put used gloves in a biohazard waste bag or clinical waste bin, then wash or sanitise your hands.

Single use only. Do not reuse, wash or store gloves after opening. Store unopened packs in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. These are examination gloves for first aid and general hygiene use; they are not a substitute for task-specific chemical or cut-resistant gloves. Always follow the directions for use.

FAQs

Is one pack one pair? Yes. Each sealed bag holds two gloves, which is one pair.

Are these gloves latex-free? Yes. They are made from nitrile, a synthetic rubber, and contain no natural rubber latex.

Do they come in other sizes? The 2-pack is large only, which fits most adult hands. For small, medium or extra large, choose the AeroGlove box of 100.

Are they sterile? No. They are non-sterile examination gloves, which is the standard for first aid kits. Sterile gloves are only needed for sterile procedures.

Why do first aiders wear gloves? Gloves put a barrier between the first aider and the casualty’s blood and body fluids, and keep dirt from the first aider’s hands out of the wound. Put them on before treating anyone and change them between casualties.

How many pairs should a first aid kit hold? Safe Work Australia’s example workplace kit list includes five pairs of disposable nitrile examination gloves, and most kit standards ask for at least two. Count the sealed packs in each kit, check, and restock any that have been opened.
