Bare Medical N95 Mask, P2 Respirator with Headstrap, Vertical Flat Fold

This Australian-made N95 mask is a single-use P2 respirator tested to AS/NZS 1716:2012, the Australian and New Zealand standard for respiratory protective devices. The vertical flat-fold design opens into a roomy cup over the nose and mouth, and two headstraps sit around the back of the head instead of the ears, so the mask holds its seal through a long shift without pulling on your ears.

First aiders, healthcare and aged care staff, cleaners and tradies use P2 masks wherever airborne particles, droplets or body fluids are a risk.

Masks are sold individually. Buy one to five for a first aid kit or vehicle, 25 or more (a full box) for a workplace PPE station, or 100 or more for clinics, schools and larger sites, where the price per mask drops again.

How to use

1. Clean your hands, open the wrapper, unfold the mask and check it is undamaged.
2. Place the mask over your nose and chin. Pull the lower strap over your head to sit at the back of your neck below your ears, then pull the upper strap to sit high on the back of your head.
3. Press the top edge of the mask to the shape of your nose with the fingertips of both hands.
4. Check the fit: breathe out sharply and feel for air leaking around the edges. Adjust the straps and nose area until it seals.
5. Remove the mask by the straps without touching the front, put it in the bin and clean your hands.

Single use only: replace the mask when it becomes damp, soiled or damaged, or when breathing through it gets harder. Do not use if the packaging is damaged. Facial hair under the edge of the mask stops it from sealing. Always follow the directions for use. This product may not be right for you. Read the warnings before purchase.

Is a P2 mask the same as an N95 mask? They are close equivalents. P2 is the Australian and New Zealand rating under AS/NZS 1716 and N95 is the US rating, and both filter at least 94 to 95% of airborne particles. This mask is labelled with both.

Can I reuse a P2 mask? No. This is a single-use mask: take it off by the straps, put it in the bin and use a new one next time.

Do P2 masks expire? Yes. This mask has a two-year shelf life from manufacture, so check the date on the box and rotate kit stock.
